Lately, I have been working quite a bit. They are very short handed where I work so everyone has been getting plenty of hours. My typical week is that I go to school on Monday through Thursday and work one or two of those evenings after school and then I work usually double shifts on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. That already does not leave much time for myself, and the past couple weeks, I have been working even more evening shifts after school, which leaves even less time. When I get home from work, I usually do not want to go to bed right away, even though it is usually pretty late when I get home, because I have not do anything of my own choice all day, plus I sometimes have homework to do. So what happens is I usually end up going to bed way too late and then get up and go to class in the morning. This is not good on days when my first class is at 8am, because I have a hard time staying awake. I have decided that the best way for me to fix this is to get as much homework done as I can in class, between classes, and after class before work so that I do not have any to do when I get home, and instead of making sure I get to do what I want to do when I get home, I should just go straight to bed. I just need to be a little more disciplined, and I will finally have a good balance.
